I don't think I know enough to say whether it's universally "good" or "bad" practice. But the main reason that people lime is to make soils less acidic, and the main reason that soils are normally so acidic is because they're covered in synthetic nitrogen every year. Go organic -> get rid of synthetic nitrogen -> remove the need for lime. That's my thinking at least
